National Chemotherapy And Radiotherapy Center at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital

Edward Amoako is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as a Platoon Commander in the Ghana Armed Forces since April 2018. In addition, Edward has held key roles at the National Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy Center, focusing on clinical oncology management and cancer research, while also working as an Oncology Nurse Specialist at the National Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy Center since October 2021. Previous experience includes serving as a Nursing Officer at Tepa Municipal Hospital and as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department with the Ghana Health Service from 2012 to 2018. Edward holds a Master of Philosophy in Nursing Research, Education, and Administration from the University of Ghana, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cape Coast, and a Diploma in Nursing Practice from Cape Coast Nurses and Midwifery Training College. Further qualifications include ongoing studies in Military Medical Studies at the Ghana Military Academy and residency training in Medical Oncology at the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives.
