Head of Remote Sensing at KorrAI

Kiana Z. has a wealth of experience in the field of Remote Sensing. Kiana has held various roles since 2014, beginning with a Research Assistant position at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. In 2016, they took on a Research Scientist role at the same company, as well as a Research Associate role at the University of Waterloo. Kiana then joined H2O Geomatics Inc. as a Lead Remote Sensing Scientist. From 2018 to 2021, Kiana Z. held the roles of Remote Sensing Scientist, Adjunct Assistant Professor, and Sessional Lecturer at the University of Waterloo. In 2021, they began their current role as Head of Remote Sensing at KorrAI.

Kiana Z. has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Environment, Remote Sensing from the University of Waterloo, a Master's degree in Civil-Remote Sensing Engineering from the University of Tehran, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil-Surveying and Geomatics Engineering from the University of Tehran. Kiana has also obtained certifications from various institutions, including Udacity, the Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, Mitacs, and the Centre for Teaching Excellence, University of Waterloo.
