Juan Musleh has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Juan is currently serving as the Venture CTO at Koru since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Tucows as the VP of Engineering from 2020 to 2022 and as the Director of Engineering from 2018 to 2020. In 2016, they founded Upspark.ca and held the position until 2019. Juan worked as a Development Manager at Snap Inc. from 2014 to 2016 and as a Developer/Team Lead at FreshBooks from 2011 to 2014. Juan also held various roles at TechTalksTO and Canadian University Software Engineering Conference from 2012 to 2013 and from 2009 to 2012, respectively. Juan worked as a Software Engineer at Evertz from 2009 to 2011 and as the VP Membership at McMaster Toastmasters from 2010 to 2011. Lastly, they served as a Teaching Assistant at McMaster University from 2007 to 2009.
Juan Musleh attended McMaster University from 2003 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering. During their time at McMaster, they also pursued a Minor in Psychology from 2007 to 2009. In terms of additional certifications, Juan Musleh has obtained certifications such as Certified SAFe 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in 2022, Fundamentals of Coaching from Co-Active Training Institute in 2017, and Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance in 2014.

Koru is a captive venture studio backed by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Founded in 2019, Koru exists to drive value creation and grow the overall enterprise value of OTPP’s portfolio companies by partnering with them to identify, validate, build and oversee new disruptive business opportunities that leverage unfair advantages. Ultimately, this is in service of providing the pensions of the teachers of Ontario. Since 2019, Koru has built and launched 9 new ventures across a variety of industries and geographies including child care, field safety, customer service innovation, financial services, e-commerce logistics, elder care and climate tech/energy transition.
