Under the leadership of Jimmy Piong, Kotra Pharma has grown from a locally established pharmaceutical firm to a widely respected, international pharmaceutical company. Since his appointment as Managing Director in June 2000, Piong has worked hard to steer the company towards the vision of humanizing health.
With Piong at the helm, Kotra Pharma’s Appeton, Axcel, and Vaxcel lines have become some of Malaysia’s most recognized healthcare brands, both in healing and preventing diseases to promote holistic wellbeing.
It is Piong’s belief, ‘Everything is possible that has moved the company to new heights and taken it to the international arena. Piong was also instrumental in driving Kotra Pharma to be the first Malaysian pharmaceutical firm to embark on a world-class manufacturing facility.
Piong brings with him extensive experience in the pharmaceutical business and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, with a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Wales.
