Kelly Norton

Kelly Norton is currently the CEO of KOVA Global. Prior to this, they were a Program Manager at Cape Henry Associates, Inc from January 2015 to February 2017. There, they managed a budget of $1.4M to develop curriculum for the Philippine Coast Guard. Kelly was also in charge of collaboration between four companies to conduct pilot training of coursework in the Philippines, to include laboratory power requirements, classroom design, technical equipment procurement, and instruction. Furthermore, Kelly conducted kick-off efforts to support a $950K contract assessing and developing curriculum for engineering-based courses at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.

Before their time at Cape Henry Associates, Inc., Kelly Norton was the Reactor Electrical Division Officer on the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) from September 2010 to October 2012. As the Reactor Electrical Division Officer, they led 80 electricians through Refueling Complex Overhaul while safely performing maintenance of 4160 volts machinery. Additionally, Kelly developed a program to track 200+ work authorization forms resulting in a more accurate display of maintenance approval status. Furthermore, they supervised the restorations of 20 major electrical load centers in two reactor and propulsion plant spaces. As propulsion plant watch officer, Kelly led a watch team of 14 nuclear operators through reactor plant tests and operations, enabling the newly refueled ship to return to operational duties ahead of schedule. During their time on the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), Kelly Norton was also responsible for training in the fundamentals of nuclear propulsion power and the interrelationship of its mechanical, electrical, and reactor subsystems. Kelly taught monthly training seminars on nuclear systems to audiences ranging from 30 to 200 personnel. In addition, Kelly was selected as a Senior Observer to grade drilling evolutions and casualty response in preparation for Reactor Safeguards Exam.

Kelly Norton has a Master of Engineering Management from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy. Kelly also has certification from the US Navy in Nuclear Engineering Officer.
