Derek Desentz

Derek Desentz has a strong background in software development and engineering. Derek most recently worked at Koverse, Inc., where they held the role of Senior Full Stack Engineer, Frontend Lead, and Design Lead. In this position, they designed and built a new user interface using React and worked with other leads to develop a flexible product for data visualization and validation. Prior to this, Derek worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a Full Stack Developer, integrating AI/ML research into web applications and creating a custom framework for automation testing. Derek also has experience as a Full Stack Developer at Kessel Run, where they developed a production-ready application for Target System Analysis. Before transitioning to software development, Derek worked as a Cyber Security Analyst at Air Force Materiel Command. Derek holds a Bachelor's degree and has demonstrated their skills in agile development, paired programming, and securing pipelines.

Derek Desentz has a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Wright State University, which they completed in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and another Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Wright State University in 2019. Derek also earned a Cyber Analytics Certification in Cyber Security from the same university in 2019.
