Hetul Patel

Hetul Patel is the former Chief Actuary at Asia Capital Re and XL Catlin.

Hetul is Director for non-life consulting at Actuaries OnTap. He has extensive knowledge of the reinsurance industry gained through his 20 years’ experience working as an actuary and executive in the global reinsurance industry. His experience includes traditional actuarial areas such as pricing, reserving and capital management, as well as underwriting and financial planning. At both ACR and XL Catlin, he worked with all core functions giving advice that was both insightful and added value. He shaped and executed corporate strategy, implemented transformation projects and negotiated M&A deals. Hetul is also a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and holds a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics.
