Sean Ostro

Sean Ostro is an Associate Principal and Design Manager at KPF, where responsibilities include serving as Job Captain and Team Lead since October 2016. Prior to this, Sean instructed undergraduate architecture design studios as a Graduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley, focusing on digital design skills, while also conducting research as a Graduate Student Researcher, designing bending-active structures through advanced digital methods. Sean gained experience as an Architectural Design Intern at Gensler and as a Workplace Design Intern at Intuit, where involvement included construction administration and post-occupancy evaluations. Earlier research experience includes working as a Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins Lab for Child Development. Sean holds a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Psychology from The Johns Hopkins University.
