Managing Principal at KPFF Consulting Engineers

Jeff Asher began his career with KPFF in 1986 and has functioned in many capacities for KPFF over that period. In addition to his extensive experience as a Principal in Charge on a wide variety of structural engineering projects, he is past President and Chairman of the Board.

Jeff is responsible for the management and resolution of all professional liability claims and disputes, the management of KPFF’s professional liability insurance issues, and he is in the lead role for the firms’ internal Risk Management education program. Based on that significant professional experience, as well as his work in functioning as an outside structural engineering Expert for attorneys and insurance companies, Jeff has an intimate working knowledge of both the administrative and technical aspects of structural engineering professional practice.

Additionally, Mr. Asher is the primary point of contact for the Forensic Services area of KPFF’s professional practice. He functions as an independent Forensic Consultant and Expert Witness on specific outside matters provides a variety of Litigation Support services to Clients and is in charge of existing facility investigations, studies, and building retrofit/repair activities related to the Service area for KPFF.
