Amol Potnis

Amol Potnis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Amol is currently the VP of Engineering at KPOINT, where they have been working since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Architect at KPOINT from November 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining KPOINT, Amol was the Co-Founder and VP of Engineering at GullyBuy Software, which was acquired by Hesa. During their time at GullyBuy Software from December 2019 to July 2021, they focused on tech-enabling local vendors to adopt e-commerce through a ready marketplace platform.

Amol also worked at Sapience Analytics, where they held the position of Senior Technical Architect from November 2017 to October 2019. Amol played a key role in developing business-critical features on client/server for Sapience Analytics, an enterprise work activity analytics and productivity SaaS product.

In addition, Amol has entrepreneurial experience as the Co-Founder of Muffin App, a group event planning app, from February 2016 to May 2018. Amol was responsible for product ideation, server architecture, design, development, and all engineering activities.

Prior to this, they worked again at Sapience Analytics as a Senior Technical Architect from June 2014 to February 2016. Before that, Amol co-created and worked on Pollengrain, a website/platform for easy creation and sharing of timelines from September 2012 to January 2015.

Amol has also worked as the CTO of InstaClique, a product incubated at Nirmantra Technologies Pvt. Ltd, from September 2013 to March 2014. Amol served as a consultant for product management activities at kPoint Technologies from September 2012 to August 2013.

Their earlier experiences include working as a Product Manager for the product division at GS Lab from April 2011 to August 2012, and as a Software Architect on GS Lab's flagship product, kPoint, from August 2004 to March 2011.

Amol started their career at Persistent Systems as an ATM from 2000 to 2004.

Amol Potnis completed their B.E in Computers from COEP Technological University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, they have also attended Fergusson College, although specific details about their degree or field of study at this institution are not available.
