DJ Lamont Bransford-Young is a seasoned DJ and small business owner, serving as the Founding Director of Fingersnaps Media Arts since its inception in 2004. Based in San Francisco's Mission District, Fingersnaps Media Arts specializes in teaching DJ skills and providing various services including event production and digital storytelling. With over 33 years of experience in the DJ industry, DJ Lamont is also a DJ and programmer for KPOO FM Radio, hosting "The Fingersnaps Music Salon," which blends genres like disco, classic house, and nujazz while incorporating literary arts and personal insights. Additionally, DJ Lamont hosts the live art show Art Rockx and has a foundational background in radio from an internship with KPFA. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Mass Media/Communications/Writing from Central Connecticut State University and an A.A. in General Studies from Mattatuck Community College.
