Daniel Garrett

Daniel Garrett is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing and deploying microservices, primarily using Java, Spring, and Hibernate on Kubernetes and AWS. Currently serving as Lead Software Engineer at KrakenFlex (Octopus Energy Group) since November 2015, Daniel has also held roles such as Senior Software Developer and Data Scientist, focusing on data engineering during a four-month secondment. Prior to KrakenFlex, Daniel worked as a Full Stack Developer at Tripod Software and as an Analyst Developer at Lancaster University. Early career experience includes positions as a Junior Software Developer and Project Associate, where Daniel contributed to the creation of a website for a nationwide smart streets project. Daniel holds an Msci degree in Computer Science with Industrial Experience from Lancaster University, earned between 2010 and 2014.
