Ellen Rudman

Ellen Rudman is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Kraken since July 2024, previously serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Vitality from April 2021 to July 2024, where project work spanned operations, retention, sales, customer experience, and member behavior using techniques such as GBMs and causal models. Before Vitality, Ellen held a Data Scientist position at Discovery Limited for six months and contributed to academia as a Lecturer and Sessional Lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand between July 2016 and September 2020, teaching various courses. Ellen commenced a data science career at Isazi Consulting in 2015 while earning a Master’s degree and subsequently a PhD in Deep Learning at the University of the Witwatersrand, following a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
