Christian von Preysing-Barry is an experienced journalist and cinematographer with a diverse background in media and wildlife documentary production. Currently serving as a reporter at KRGV-TV since January 2016, Christian covers daily stories, breaking news, and long-term investigations, and is also a reporter for "Noticias a las 9." Previous experience includes working as a cinematographer for the Deep in the Heart Wildlife Documentary, where Christian filmed endangered ocelots using remote cameras, and serving as a camera assistant for SILVERBACK FILMS while tracking wild turkeys for the BBC1 and Discovery+ documentary, The Mating Game. Christian’s early career involved roles at KGNS-TV as a weekend anchor and multimedia journalist, internships at WISC-TV, WTDY-AM, and PBS 39 WLVT, as well as serving in the Texas Army National Guard as a Specialist E-4. Christian holds a B.A. in Journalism and Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Certificate in Computer Science from the same institution, complemented by a study abroad program in International Journalism at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences.
