Lona O'Connor is an experienced journalist with a diverse background in reporting, editing, and photography. Currently serving as a general assignment reporter for the Palm Beach Post since June 2009, Lona covers topics such as religion, women's issues, suburban communities, and the environment. Previous roles include municipal reporter for Boynton Beach, education reporter and editor at Sun-Sentinel, and entertainment editor at Boca Raton News. Lona's career also includes significant experience at the Detroit Free Press, where Lona worked as a reporter, editor, and photographer from 1974 to 1987. Lona holds a BPH in photography and art from Wayne State University and studied religious mysticism at Florida International University.
