Kria Botanicals

Kria was founded in 2018 by two Peace Corps friends, Bill Lofy and Dan Chang, as part of a vision for a cooperative and innovative Vermont cannabis economy. Our experience growing hemp in northern Vermont led to a years-long process of establishing a premium contract manufacturing lab that incorporates the herbal apothecary into the world of cannabinoids. We started small, perfecting the art of extraction in small batches. Over time, our business has grown in size and scope. We added scientists and herbalists with years of extraction and lab experience to our team. We expanded our operations to include ethanol extraction, and then we built out a full-service, turnkey production facility serving both the CBD and THC markets. Throughout our expansion, we’ve been led by a set of values: a focus on Vermont, a belief in social equity, and a commitment to sustainability and organic practices. Today, Kria Botanicals operates out of a 7,000 square-foot, custom designed lab, with separate rooms for ethanol extraction, CO2 extraction, hashing, packaging, and product formulation. Our lab has been through months of rigorous inspections from fire, health, and safety agencies, as well as Vermont’s organic certifying body. We also have years of experience managing customer accounts, and love partnering with growing brands to introduce new and innovative products to their customers!
