David Flax has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. David started their career as a LAN Administrator at Medstar Health, where they focused on troubleshooting workstation issues and managing server and SQL backups. David then joined Baltimore Healthcare Access as an Information Technology Manager, responsible for PC and server support, network connections, and phone system and router maintenance. David continued their career as a LAN Administrator at Magellan Health, where they specialized in fixing PCs and handling data backups. David also worked as a LAN Engineer at Provident Bank, ensuring the smooth functioning of the local area network. Currently, they serve as the Director of Information Services at the University of Maryland Baltimore, overseeing a team of staff members and implementing technologies to enhance business processes. Additionally, David has a coaching role as the Head Cross Country Running and Track Coach at Krieger Schechter Day School.

David Flax has a strong educational background with a focus on business administration, health care administration, and history. David obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from Ithaca College, graduating in 1988.
