Monique Schubert

Monique Schubert has a diverse work experience in the field of education, arts, and yoga. Monique started their career as an Adjunct Lecturer of Yoga at CUNY Bronx Community College in 2006. In 2015, they founded OM Society, where they currently serve as a Founder. Monique joined Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in 2018 as a RISE Facilitator, delivering resilience training programs for frontline employees. Monique also serves as a Teacher Trainer at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. Monique has worked as an Arts Educator at The Studio Museum in Harlem and MoCADA, teaching painting, portfolio preparation, and yoga. Additionally, they worked as a Yoga Teacher at Socrates Sculpture Park for 15 summers. Monique's work experience also includes being a Teaching Artist at Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation.

Monique Schubert completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Fine and Studio Arts at Skidmore College in 1994. Monique then went on to earn their Masters of Fine Art in Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, and Collage from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1999. In 2000, they attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, although the degree name and field of study for this period are not specified. From 2001 to 2015, Monique Schubert studied at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, although it is not mentioned if they obtained a degree or the specific field of study during this time.
