Nigel Franklyn, CPA, CGMA has a diverse and extensive work history. Nigel started their career as an Intermediate Mutual Fund Accountant at Salomon Smith Barney in 2000. Nigel then joined KPMG in 2001, where they were promoted multiple times and served as a Senior Manager, leading financial statement audits for notable financial services clients.

In 2010, Nigel joined Morgan Stanley as a Vice President, responsible for planning and executing brokerage operations audits and ensuring compliance. Nigel then moved to Standard Chartered Bank in 2012, first as the Head of Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations for the Americas and later as the Head of Performance and Expense Management, Americas.

In 2014, Nigel transitioned to Prudential Financial, where they held the positions of Vice President, Controller - Life Planner Operations and Vice President, Regional Controller - Asia, Excluding Japan. In these roles, they oversaw financial reporting and controllership for Prudential International's operations in various countries, implemented organizational effectiveness frameworks, and managed teams of finance professionals.

From 2017 to 2019, Nigel served as the CFO of PT PFI Mega Life Insurance, a joint venture between Prudential Financial and CT Corp in Indonesia. In this role, they led all finance and accounting activities, including financial reporting, tax compliance, and budgeting.

After leaving PT PFI Mega Life Insurance, Nigel joined The Prudential Insurance Company of America as the Vice President of Asset and Liability Management Finance. In this capacity, they managed a team and was responsible for preparing financial statements and disclosures, drove process standardization initiatives, and oversaw the implementation of Expected Credit Losses.

In 2020, Nigel moved to Munich Reinsurance America, Inc. - US Life, where they served as the Vice President and Controller. Nigel led a team responsible for financial reporting, reinsurance administration and accounting, and played a key role in a business transformation program.

Most recently, Nigel joined the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in 2022 as the Senior Director of Finance and IT, overseeing the financial operations of the organization.

Throughout their career, Nigel has demonstrated strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to drive process improvements. Nigel has extensive experience in financial reporting, audit, controllership, and strategic financial management.

Nigel Franklyn, CPA, CGMA holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Hunter College, which they obtained between 1994 and 1999. Nigel also pursued further education at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in the Executive MBA Metro NY program from 2020 to 2022. In addition to their educational achievements, Nigel has obtained various certifications, including the Certified Breath Coach certification from YOGABODY in April 2022. Nigel is also a CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant) certified by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Furthermore, Nigel has completed the EQ-i 2.0 Certification Program offered by Multi-Health Systems Inc. (MHS).
