Sam Chase

RISE Lead Facilitator & Curriculum Developer at Kripalu

Sam Chase has had a diverse work experience in the field of mindfulness and resilience coaching. Since 2006, Sam has been running their own speaker, consultancy, and coaching business, creating customized programs for individuals and organizations. They have worked with clients such as The United Nations, The National Guard, and various universities and companies. Notable recent projects include designing and delivering a mindfulness program for nurses at The Brooklyn Hospital Center during the COVID pandemic and creating a Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher Training Program for the NYC Department of Education. In 2017, Sam also worked as an RISE Lead Facilitator and Curriculum Developer at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. Additionally, Sam has served as a Teacher Training Faculty member, training over 2000 emerging yoga and mindfulness teachers across the nation in various studios and organizations since 2008.

Sam Chase has a strong educational background in theater performance, economics, English, and theatre. They obtained a Master's degree in Theater Performance from Harvard University in the years 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, Sam earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics, English, and Theatre from Vanderbilt University, attending from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their academic degrees, Sam has also obtained several certifications. These include being Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Certified by Mindful Leader in the year 2020, earning a Mindful Educator Certificate from Mindful Schools in 2019, obtaining a Certificate in Positive Psychology from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in 2014, and receiving a Professional Level Yoga Teaching Certificate from the same institution in 2009.
