Hayk Aleksanyan

Principal Engineer, ML at Krisp

Hayk Aleksanyan has a diverse work experience, starting from 2008 when they worked as a Software Developer for "Junior Aleksanyan and Sons" LLC, contributing to the design and development of HR management software and document archiving systems. Hayk then pursued further academic and research opportunities, working as a Mathematics Tutor at The University of Edinburgh from 2012 to 2015. After that, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Royal Institute of Technology from 2015 to 2017. During this time, they also held visiting research positions at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences and Institut Mittag-Leffler. In 2017, Hayk co-founded SciLag AB, where they were involved in developing business concepts and transforming them into software architecture, algorithmic design, and implementation. Their role included natural language processing, computational geometry, and server-side programming. In 2020, Hayk joined Krisp as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer 2, and later became a Principal Engineer in ML. Additionally, they have recently started working as a Lecturer at Yerevan State University in 2021.

Hayk Aleksanyan earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Yerevan State University in 2008. Hayk then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Mathematics from the same institution, completing it in 2010. Following this, they enrolled at The University of Edinburgh and attained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics, which they obtained in 2015.
