Vazgen Mikayelyan

Vazgen Mikayelyan has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and data science. Vazgen is currently working at Krisp as a Principal Machine Learning Scientist/Engineer and Tech Lead since June 2021. Before that, they worked at Krisp as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist/Engineer from January 2020 to June 2021, and as a Machine Learning Scientist/Engineer from March 2018 to January 2020.

Alongside their industry roles, Vazgen has also been involved in teaching. Vazgen served as a Deep Learning Lecturer in the Yerevan State University's "Applied Statistics and Data Science" Graduate Program starting from September 2019.

Vazgen has also contributed to the field of machine learning education through their position as a Machine Learning Lecturer in Preparatory Courses for "1991 Unit" at the Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology (FAST) from February 2020 to July 2021.

In addition, Vazgen served as a Jury Member in the Republican Math Olympiad for the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia from March 2014 to March 2020.

Earlier in their career, Vazgen worked as a Data Scientist at PicsArt Inc. from September 2017 to March 2018, and as a Teaching Associate at the American University of Armenia from September 2016 to December 2017.

Overall, Vazgen Mikayelyan has extensive experience in machine learning, including roles in industry, teaching, and contributing to the field through Olympiads and preparatory courses.

Vazgen Mikayelyan has a strong educational background in mathematics, with a focus on mathematical analysis. Vazgen obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Mathematical Analysis from Yerevan State University between the years 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Mathematics at Yerevan State University from 2017 to 2019. Vazgen also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Yerevan State University, which they obtained between 2013 and 2017. Before entering university, Vazgen attended the PhysMath Special School after A. Shahinyan in Yerevan, Armenia, completing their high school education there between 2010 and 2013.
