Rutger Tromp is a Senior R&D Scientist Physicist at KROHNE Group since April 2012, focusing on technology innovation projects to enhance Industry 4.0 capabilities in electromagnetic and ultrasonic flow meter product groups. Prior to this role, Rutger served as an R&D Scientist Physics and Expert Application Engineer, contributing to the development of an NMR-based multiphase flow meter for the oil and gas sector. Additionally, Rutger is an Industrial PhD Candidate at Eindhoven University of Technology and has completed a Master Thesis at Technische Universiteit Delft on fluctuation effects in disordered superconductors. Early career experiences include roles at KROHNE Altometer, Technische Universiteit Delft, NMi, and Shell International Exploration and Production, along with a solid educational background in Applied Physics, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Eindhoven University of Technology.
