Waqas Ahmed serves as the Executive Director of the Khalili Foundation, leading initiatives in cultural diplomacy and philanthropy in collaboration with notable partners such as UNESCO and the Commonwealth. As a founding faculty member and Assistant Professor at the London Interdisciplinary School, Waqas teaches interdisciplinary subjects including Neuroscience and Theology. Waqas chairs the Global Advisory Group at Earth 300, focusing on sustainability and oceanography. The DaVinci Network, founded by Waqas, promotes cross-disciplinary collaboration through events like the Polymath Festival. Additionally, Waqas contributes as a Visiting Fellow at The Open University Business School and as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge. Past roles include Curator-in-Residence at the Barbican Centre and Editor for UNESCO's Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity. Waqas holds degrees from King’s College London, LSE, and SOAS University of London, with a background in International Relations.
