Mark Petrich

Mark Petrich is a seasoned professional in technical operations and engineering within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Technical Operations at Krystal Biotech, Inc. since September 2021, Mark previously held various leadership positions at Merck from June 2009 to September 2021, including Director of Single-Use Engineering and Associate Director, where responsibilities encompassed strategy development, supplier management, and collaboration across multiple engineering functions. Mark's career at Merck began in January 1997 as Manager of Sterile Pilot Plants, overseeing the preparation of numerous GMP sterile product batches and regulatory compliance. Earlier experience also includes work as a Research Fellow at Rosetta Inpharmatics, LLC, focusing on laboratory engineering and process development. Mark holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
