Carl Kirpes

Carl Kirpes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Carl is currently the Managing Partner and President at KT Pacer, a leader in animal feed transportation solutions. Prior to this role, they served as the Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer at KT Pacer.

From 2008 to the present, Carl worked as a Project Management and Operations Consultant at TPG Companies.

From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Marathon Petroleum Corporation as the Crude Oil Scheduling, Strategy, & Analysis Leader. Carl also held the position of Crude Oil Strategy & Analysis from 2019 to 2020.

In 2018, Carl was the Enterprise Business Improvement Program & Systems Manager at Andeavor, where they led various initiatives in innovation, strategy execution, and value creation across the enterprise.

From 2012 to 2018, they worked at GENESYS Systems Integrator as the Vice President of Operations, overseeing operations, and also held a Solutions Development role in 2012.

Carl began their career in 2011 as an Applications Engineer at Proplanner.NET.

Carl Kirpes has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University. Carl also holds a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering from the same institution. In 2018, they attended the Strategic Leadership Program at the Goff Strategic Leadership Center, David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Carl is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and is expected to complete their degree in 2022. Additionally, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Iowa, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Carl Kirpes has also obtained certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and as a Professional Engineer licensed in Texas from the National Society of Professional Engineers.
