Abinash Silwal

Abinash Silwal is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Kansas, focusing on utilizing GIS and Remote Sensing technologies to address environmental challenges. With experience spanning from May 2017 to August 2023 as a Resource Person for the Robotics Association of Nepal, Abinash provided training in the SERVIR Hindu Kush Himalaya initiative. Prior to this, as the Geospatial Team Leader at Geo IT Solution and Engineering Services from June 2021 to July 2023, Abinash led a team in developing GIS-based solutions for infrastructure projects and conducted spatial data analysis for disaster management. Abinash also worked as a Geomatics Engineer at Geo 3D Modelling from December 2020 to May 2021. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Geospatial from Kathmandu University and a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi, with ongoing Master's studies in GIS and Remote Sensing at The University of Kansas.
