Marcus Cottrell

Marcus Cottrell, M.Ed., is the Assistant Director of Jayhawk Academic Advising at The University of Kansas, where they provide oversight and support for a team of academic advisors. They previously held roles such as Resident Director at Brown University and Graduate Assistant at Iowa State University, where they contributed to various aspects of student development and academic advising. Marcus earned a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Iowa State University, achieving high academic honors in both programs. Their passion lies in fostering relationships and helping students realize their potential as lifelong learners and leaders.
