Sandra Liekens

Sandra Liekens is an accomplished professional in the field of oncology and academia, currently serving as Medical Lead in Oncology at Takeda since December 2017. With extensive experience in medical affairs as a Medical Affairs Manager and MSL in Oncology, Sandra has also held various academic positions at KU Leuven, including Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, and has been involved in research as a postdoctoral researcher and group leader. Sandra's academic journey began at KU Leuven, where a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences was earned after completing a degree in Bio-Engineering in Chemistry. Prior research experience includes a postdoctoral role at New York University from 2001 to 2002.
