Frédéric Harper

Frédéric Harper has a rich and diverse work experience spanning various roles in developer relations and advocacy. Frédéric is currently employed as a Principal Developer Advocate at Kubefirst, where they are responsible for establishing developer relations for the Cloud Native ecosystem, focusing on Kubernetes and GitOps. Prior to this, Frédéric worked as a Principal Developer Advocate at Kubeshop, contributing to developer advocacy efforts.

In 2022, Frédéric also worked as a Consultant at Developer Relations as a Service Inc, where they provided consulting services. The previous year, they held the position of Director of Developer Relations at Mindee, where they played a crucial role in merging the physical and digital worlds using machine learning and APIs. Frédéric defined the developer relations framework and built a team to support these efforts.

Frédéric's experience includes roles at prominent organizations such as DigitalOcean, where they served as a Senior Developer Advocate, and npm, Inc., where they held a similar position. At npm, Inc., they focused on creating awareness and supporting the developer community through various activities like writing blog articles, contributing to forums, and speaking at conferences.

Prior to joining DigitalOcean and npm, Inc., Frédéric worked as a Senior Developer Evangelist at Fitbit, driving developer engagement and evangelism activities. Frédéric also worked as a Freelance developer and held a role as a Senior Technical Evangelist at Mozilla Corporation. Frédéric's career began at Microsoft Canada, where they worked as a Technical Evangelist.

Throughout their career, Frédéric has demonstrated a passion for developer relations and advocacy, showcasing their expertise through public speaking, content creation, community engagement, and strategic leadership.

Frédéric Harper completed an Attestation d'Études Collégial (A.E.C.) in Analyst Programming from Herzing College in 2002. In 2009, they obtained the ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance. In 2013, Frédéric obtained the Microsoft Certified Professional certification and the MCSD: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 certification from Microsoft.
