Yannick Montagano has extensive work experience in various leadership positions within the automotive and heavy equipment industry. Yannick began their career at Nova Bus as a Project Engineer in Research & Development. Yannick then moved on to Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, where they served as an Account Manager for global sales to Caterpillar and the Bus & Coach industry.
Next, Montagano joined Hewitt Equipment Limited, a Caterpillar dealer, where they held several roles including Sales Manager of the Material Handling Division, Product Support Marketing & Development Manager of the Heavy Equipment Division, and Branch Manager. Yannick achieved significant growth in market share, won long-term agreements with major accounts, and implemented customer support agreements to increase product support revenue.
Montagano later joined Strongco Corporation as Regional Vice President responsible for the sale, rental, and product support of construction equipment in Quebec. Yannick successfully managed the business through a downturn in the construction market and integrated Terex Truck and Sennebogen product lines. Following their time at Strongco, Montagano worked at Paladin Attachments as the Vice President & General Manager of Canadian Operations, overseeing the P&L of their Surrey Operations and overall sales in the Canadian market.
Currently, Montagano serves as the President of Kubota Canada Ltd. Previously, they held various leadership positions at the company including Vice President of Sales, Marketing, Service & Engineering, Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Operations, and Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Throughout their career, Yannick Montagano has demonstrated a strong ability to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and lead teams to success in challenging market conditions.
Yannick Montagano obtained an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, where they attended from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, graduating in the years 1991 to 1995. In terms of additional certifications, Yannick Montagano holds a Pragmatic Certified Product Manager certification from Pragmatic Institute, which they achieved in December 2021. Yannick is also a Professional Engineer, certified by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec in 1996. Additionally, Yannick Montagano has certifications in Caterpillar Certified Sales Manager and Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, although the institutions and years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
