Erik Pijnenburg

Erik Pijnenburg has extensive work experience in the BIM (Building Information Modeling) industry. Erik is the CEO and founder of BIMcollab, a platform that has become a global player in the BIM world, with over 120,000 users in more than 150 countries. Erik leads a team of 50+ professionals in development and international marketing & sales.

Prior to BIMcollab, Erik was the CEO and founder of KUBUS BV since 1992. The company, which currently employs over 90 people, markets and services BIM software for Design & Build (AEC), such as ARCHICAD, Solibri Model Checker, BIMcollab, and KUBUS Spexx. Erik is also a promoter of OpenBIM.

Before starting KUBUS BV, Erik worked as a freelance developer from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, from 1990 to 1992, they worked for KOVOS architecten as a developer, where they designed and developed software for calculation, specification, planning, and project control. Erik also provided training for employees in software and promoted the software to other offices.

Erik Pijnenburg pursued their higher education at Eindhoven University of Technology from 1981 to 1989. During this period, they obtained an engineering degree (ir.) in informatics, specializing in ergonomics and medical studies.
