Cristian Ruiz

Cristian Ruiz has extensive work experience in software engineering, cybersecurity, and DevOps roles. Cristian has worked at Kudelski Security since 2016, starting as an Expert Software Engineer and progressing to roles such as Team Leader, Blockchain & Cybersecurity Engineering Manager, and Senior Engineering Manager. During their time at Kudelski Security, they have been responsible for managing teams, creating innovative solutions, and driving initiatives in areas such as machine learning. Prior to joining Kudelski Security, Cristian worked at Sword Group as an Expert Software Engineer and Business Analyst, where they contributed to building a Cyber Fusion Center solution and provided support for business requirements. Cristian also has experience as a Founding Partner, Business Analyst, and Software Engineer at Effusions Holding S.A., where they focused on developing management solutions for the healthcare industry. Before that, Cristian worked as a Heating Designer in the building and energy industry.

Cristian Ruiz holds a Software Engineer HES degree from the University of applied science Western Switzerland (HEIG-VD) - Yverdon, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2000, they pursued MPT - Maturité prof. technique CFC+1 at Centre d'enseignement professionnel - Vevey. Cristian also has a Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Engineering Technology/Technician from EPSIC École professionnelle de Lausanne, obtained from 1995 to 1999. Lastly, Cristian has a secondary school certificate from Etablissement secondaire de Montreux-Est, earned from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Developing Emerging Leaders from INSEAD and Data Strategy: Leveraging Data as a Competitive Advantage from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, both in 2023. Cristian also holds certifications from Vitria Technology in BW 4.3 - Advanced Integration (2008), EMC in Technical Fundamentals for Documentum (2006), and the University of Cambridge in Preliminary English Test (2001).
