Mong Suan Yee

Mong Suan Yee has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. In 2009, they worked as an LTE Field Apps Engineer at Aeroflex, where they managed the integration of test mobile and eNodeB for LTE and handled customer management. From 2010 to 2011, they were the LTE DSP Team Leader at Sequans, leading a team of engineers, handling architecture studies, and resolving issues related to the PHY solution. Mong Suan then joined Cambridge Consultants as a Principal Engineer in 2011, where they worked on LTE lead projects, including Femtocell architecture and advanced LTE research and implementation.

In 2014, they joined SensMaster as the CTO, where they were responsible for product development and management for RFID and BLE products, as well as team management and project management. Mong Suan then took on the role of Consultant & CTO at BLoyalty Sdn Bhd from 2015 to 2016, where they built a tech team from the ground up for the largest loyalty management platform in Malaysia.

In 2015, Mong Suan Yee also worked as a Consultant & CTO at SweetSpot Digital Sdn Bhd, where they built a tech team from scratch for the largest coverage beacon-based marketing platform in Malaysia. Continuing their journey, they joined MyRepublic Ltd in 2017 as a Technical Program Manager, collaborating with software engineers to develop cutting-edge BSS/OSS solutions and utilizing Java, React, Angularjs, Postgresql, and exploring AI and data mining.

In 2018, they joined coss.io as the Engineering Director, and later in the same year, they co-founded Kumi Analytics Pte Ltd, where they served as the Co-founder and Director of Engineering. In this role, they were involved in algorithm development using signal processing techniques, machine learning/AI, software architecting, and development, as well as engineering team management.

Throughout their career, Mong Suan Yee has demonstrated expertise in various areas, including signal processing, machine learning/AI, software engineering, team management, and project management.

Mong Suan Yee obtained their A levels from MARA Science College. Mong Suan then pursued a BEng in Electronics at the University of Southampton from 1992 to 1995. Continuing their education, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Southampton, which spanned from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Mong Suan Yee has obtained certifications in various machine learning and TensorFlow courses from Coursera, including "Image Understanding with TensorFlow on GCP," "Intro to TensorFlow," "How Google does Machine Learning," and "Launching into Machine Learning."
