Benjamin Garrett, Ph.D., is a seasoned software engineer currently employed at Kunai since September 2021. Prior experience includes the role of Senior Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual, where Benjamin contributed to designing a deterministic linear optimization system in Scala for financial planning. As an IT Consultant at Talan, Benjamin developed a natural language processing chatbot for BNP Paribas, enhancing trading and risk management functions. Academic positions as a lecturer were held at Hunter College and CUNY New York City College of Technology. Prior consultancy work involved significant projects for Morgan Stanley and Bank of America with technologies such as Java, Scala, and Python.
