Jacopo Soffritti has a diverse range of work experience. Jacopo began their career at Mallinckrodt Dar SRL in 2006 and Sorin Group in 2007, where they completed summer internships in the Quality Assurance and Human Resources departments, respectively. In 2009, they transitioned into the field of education as a Classical Guitar Teacher at Fondazione Scuola di Musica "Carlo e Guglielmo Andreoli". In this role, they developed skills in thinking outside the box, interacting with students, and long-term planning.
In 2013, Soffritti worked as a Visiting Researcher at Blekinge Institute of Technology, specifically in the Radio Communication Group led by Professor Hans-Jurgen Zepernick.
From 2014 to 2015, Soffritti worked at EGICON S.R.L. as a Firmware Developer and Embedded Systems Engineer. Their main areas of focus were automotive technology, wireless sensors, and communication protocols. During this time, they gained experience in embedded software development for various microcontroller architectures.
From 2015 to 2018, Soffritti joined Kirale Technologies as a Firmware Developer and Embedded Systems Engineer. Their main areas of work included wireless sensor networks and the Internet of Things (IoT). In this role, they developed embedded firmware for low-power sensors and acquired knowledge of IPv6 protocol stack standards and routing strategies for low-power and lossy networks.
Most recently, Soffritti has been working at Kunak Technologies SL since 2018 as an Embedded Systems Engineer and Firmware Developer. Further details about this role are not provided.
Jacopo Soffritti's education history begins in 2003 when they enrolled in Liceo Classico Giovanni Pico, where they completed their Maturità Classica degree in 2008. Jacopo then joined Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Ingegneria elettrica, elettronica e delle comunicazioni from 2008 to 2011. After completing their undergraduate studies, Jacopo continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in the same field of study from 2011 to 2013.
Throughout their academic journey, Jacopo also acquired additional certifications. In 2007, they obtained the First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge. In 2008, they received the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) from the Associazione Italiana per l'Informatica ed il Calcolo Automatico.
In addition to their engineering education, Jacopo has also pursued their passion for music. From 1999 to 2009, they attended the Fodazione Scuola di Musica "Carlo e Guglielmo Andreoli" and specialized in classical guitar.
