Esa Kallio

Esa Kallio has extensive experience in financial management and capital markets, currently serving as President & CEO of Kuntarahoitus Oyj - Municipality Finance Plc since October 2005, where responsibilities include overseeing funding, investments, treasury, lending, leasing, marketing, and back office operations. Prior to this role, Esa Kallio was the Director of Group Treasury at Ahlstrom from April 1993 to October 2005, leading the internal bank and managing front and middle office operations after the centralization of treasury functions. Earlier experience also includes serving as Financial Manager at Kemppi Group, where responsibilities encompassed group financing, financial controlling for international subsidiaries, and budgeting. Esa Kallio began a career in finance as Rahoituspäällikkö at HSSP. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Economics with a focus on Finance and Accounting from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, completed between 1982 and 1986.
