Ozgur Cakir has over 20 years of work experience in the construction and real estate development industry. Ozgur currently holds the position of Vice President of Construction at Kushner since 2022. Previously, they worked at Atlantic Realty Development Corporation as a Project Executive from 2015 to 2022, where they were responsible for coordinating design and construction activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading cross-functional teams. From 2012 to 2015, Ozgur served as the Executive VP at Tula Construction Managers Inc., overseeing project management and administration activities. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager at Kiska Construction from 2009 to 2012, managing large-scale infrastructure projects. Ozgur also served as a Superintendent/Construction Manager at Pulte Homes from 2002 to 2008, overseeing residential communities' construction projects. Ozgur's career began as a Research Associate at Virginia Tech from 2000 to 2002.
Ozgur Cakir completed their education with a high school degree in Science and Math from TED Ankara Koleji in 1992. Ozgur then went on to earn a Bachelor of Architecture from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University in 1996. Following that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Building Science and Engineering from the same institution in 1999. Finally, they completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Construction Management from Virginia Tech in 2001.
