Dale Tompkins

Dale Tompkins is the President and CEO of Kussmaul Electronics, and has over 30 years of experience in leadership positions in private and public equity, strategic planning, innovation planning, technology, design architecture, Lean Six Sigma, and international business. Dale has a proven track record in delivering value to shareholders through organic and M&A growth strategies.

Dale founded Da Vinci Advisory in January 2016, a company that provides senior-level advice to CEOs, Presidents, Boards, and Private Equity teams on strategies that accelerate value creation. Dale is the creator of the Da Vinci Planning model, a strategic planning model that combines Wall Street and Silicon Valley thinking to capitalize on mega-trends and exponential growth opportunities. The model has been successfully implemented by companies of all sizes in various industries to achieve Amazon- and Tesla-like growth.

Under Dale’s leadership, Kussmaul Electronics has been able to deliver shareholder value through a combination of organic and M&A growth strategies. Dale has also led the company to become a leaner and more efficient organization through the implementation of Lean Six Sigma across all 107 plants. In addition, Dale has overseen the expansion of Kussmaul Electronics into 30+ countries, making it a truly global organization.

Dale Tompkins has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Dale is also Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt Certified.
