Stephen Sorett

Stephen Sorett is a Senior Counsel at Kutak Rock since June 2015, with prior experience as Senior Counsel at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP from May 2004 to May 2015. Sorett's practice focuses on government contracts, public-private partnerships, military base closure and realignment, procurement advocacy, intellectual property, and securing funding from various sources. Additionally, Sorett served as a Partner at the Council of the Urban Land Institute from September 2008 to June 2012 and chaired a committee for the American Bar Association from 1990 to 2011. Earlier in the career, Sorett held the title of Senior Manager at Touche Ross, where responsibilities included challenging pro formas for public-private partnerships and advising on Cost Accounting Standards. Sorett's experience also includes roles as Assistant General Counsel for Grants at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Attorney Advisor at the U.S. Government Accountability Office.
