Marko Nurmi is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the energy and technology sectors. As the CEO and Co-Founder of kW-set Oy since March 2007, Marko leads a company specializing in stand-by diesel generators with quick lead times from local stock in Finland. In addition, Marko co-founded and serves as Chairman of kW Consulting Oy, focusing on EMP and HPM protected solutions for stand-by generators. Prior roles include Board Member at Visotex Oy and Whitestone Oy, the latter providing IT services and web development. Marko has held positions such as Sales Director at Liitin Oy, Area Manager at Aggreko Finland Oy, and Project Manager at Mercantile KSB Oy. Marko's educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Energy Technology from Helsingin Ammattikorkeakoulu Stadia and Helsingin teknillinen oppilaitos, complemented by technical training as a Mechanic in Machining from Tikkurilan ammattikoulu.

kW-set Oy was established in 2004 and specialises in emergency power solutions. Our operations focus on emergency power units and related services. We work together with global emergency power system manufacturers to ensure that we always have access to the latest technical expertise. We design the operating environment required by the emergency power unit to the customer’s needs; for example, containers, cooling ventilation and electrical automation. Manufacturing and contract deliveries are carried out in cooperation with our long-term contract partners. This ensures a high-quality, customer-specific outcome. Our state-of-the art office, maintenance and storage facilities are located in Tuusula, Finland. The size of our yard is thousands of square metres, enabling us to store a large number of rental units and to also handle large emergency power units.
