Ahmed Toulan has a diverse work experience, with a focus on technology roles. Ahmed is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at kwentra since November 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder at Cloudinn from January 2015 to October 2021. In addition, they also served as a Software Architect and Co-founder at Cloudinn from November 2009 to December 2014.

Before their roles at Cloudinn, Ahmed was involved in various technology-related positions. Ahmed was a Community Leader at Ubuntu-EG LoCo Team from 2008 to 2013 and volunteered at Egypt GNU/Linux Users Group in 2010. Ahmed also worked at OpenCraft, where they held multiple positions including Lead Software Engineer from December 2008 to October 2009, Senior Software Engineer from February 2008 to November 2008, and Software Engineer from June 2007 to January 2008.

Furthermore, Ahmed Toulan started their career as a Software Engineer at SoftMEMS Egypt in November 2004, where they were responsible for developing MEMS CAD tools. Their tasks involved porting old solutions to Qt/C++ for enhanced portability and efficiency. Ahmed worked at SoftMEMS Egypt until May 2007.

Ahmed Toulan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a specialization in Electronics & Electrical Communications from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University. Ahmed attended this institution from 1998 to 2004. Furthermore, Ahmed went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Spoken Term Detection from the same institution, completing it from 2004 to 2009.
