Silvia María Píriz

Silvia Mar is an experienced educator specializing in Spanish language instruction. Currently serving as a High School Spanish Teacher with Rutherford County Schools in Tennessee, Silvia has previously held positions as a DC Spanish Instructor at San Antonio ISD and an Adjunct Professor at St. Philip's College from August 2019 to June 2023. Silvia's teaching career began at Travis Middle School as a Spanish Teacher, followed by roles at Psja Southwest Early College High School and South Texas College as an AP/DC Spanish Teacher and Adjunct Faculty, respectively. Silvia holds a Master of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from The University of Texas-Pan American and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from the same institution, complemented by an international course at Universidad de Salamanca focused on the economy, culture, and tradition in Spanish diversity.
