Dr. Jan Erwig

Dr. Jan Erwig currently serves as the Lead Business Partner IP and Patent Attorney at KWS Group, leading a team focused on Traits and Product Development across the company's crop portfolio since October 2022. Prior to this role, Dr. Erwig held positions such as Expert IP Europe and Partner at ULLRICH & NAUMANN Patent- und Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaftsgesellschaft mbB, and worked as a Patent Attorney and Patentanwalt. Additional experience includes roles at the Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt and a postdoctoral scientist position at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in the Plant Cell Biology group. Dr. Erwig holds a Dr.rer.nat. in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Göttingen, alongside a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in the same field.
