Katherine Yungmee Kim is an experienced professional in community programs and communications, currently serving as Program Director for the Koreatown Storytelling Program at the Koreatown Youth and Community Center since January 2011. Katherine has also held positions as a Senior Communications Editor at Generations United and as a member of the Diverse Intergenerational Programs Advisory Board, focusing on cultural inclusivity. Additionally, Katherine was a Gen2Gen Innovation Fellow at CoGenerate and a Contributing Editor at KoreAm Journal, where responsibilities included community engagement and feature writing. Katherine began a career in journalism as an Education Reporting Fellow at New America Media. Katherine holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Columbia University and a B.A. in English and Art History from Vassar College.
