Siobhan O'Leary has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Siobhan began their career in 2009 as a Seed Manufacturing technician at Novartis. In this role, they were responsible for seed manufacturing activities.
In 2010, Siobhan joined Solent University as a Research Assistant. Siobhan'srole involved setting up mouse models of colitis and examining the microbiome of the mouse intestine. Siobhan also conducted various tasks such as mouse work, bacterial culture, genotyping, qPCR, and tissue culture.
Since 2011, Siobhan has been employed at Kymab Ltd. Siobhan started as a Research Associate, specializing in cell line generation and mouse biology. From there, they progressed to the role of Senior Research Associate in Cell Engineering and Molecular Biology, where they worked from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Senior Research Associate in Infectious Disease and Vaccines. Currently, Siobhan holds the position of Research Scientist 1 in the same field at Kymab Ltd.
Siobhan O’Leary pursued their education by first completing a Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutritional Science from University College Cork in the years 2003 to 2006. Following this, they went on to University College Cork Biomerit Research Centre to obtain a Master's degree in Applied Science, with a specialization in Biotechnology, from 2006 to 2008. During their Master's program, they focused on the Microbiology department.
