Hiroyuki Hata

Hiroyuki Hata currently serves as the Executive Director of the Strategic Investment and Asset Management Group in Business Development at Kyowa Kirin Co., Ltd., where efforts include leading investments in private biotech startups with a $50 million fund. Previously, Hiroyuki held positions in corporate strategy and business development at various organizations, including Fujifilm Corporation and Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., where responsibilities encompassed mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and venture capital investments in biotech. Hiroyuki began a career in investment with JAFCO and has also completed internships at Eli Lilly Japan. Educational qualifications include an MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from The University of Tokyo.
