Richard Penney has over 18 years of experience in the biotechnology and healthcare industries. Richard began their career in 2003 as an Immunology Research and Teaching Assistant at Florida State University. In 2007, they moved to Vanderbilt University as a Neuroscience Research and Teaching Assistant. In 2010, they joined Rainin Instrument LLC as an Instrument Specialist. In 2011, they were hired by Life Technologies as a Genetics Specialist, where they were awarded the Sales Achiever Award in 2012. In 2013, they were recruited by Roche and promoted to Business Development & Strategic Affairs Manager for North America. In 2019, they joined Leica Biosystems as a Strategic Multi-Vertical Sales Management, and in 2022 they were appointed Vice President of Business Development & Strategic Partnering and Vice President of Commercial Operations at Kypha.

Richard Penney received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in the field of Business Administration and Management, General. Richard also holds a Master of Science - MS from Vanderbilt University in Neuroscience, a Master of Science - MS from Florida Atlantic University in Immunology/Biomedical Science, and a BA from Florida Atlantic University in Richard'story: Early Modern Europe.
