Ryan Cunniff

Ryan Cunniff is a project manager and engineer at Kyra Medical. Ryan has over two years of experience in the medical field, sustaining engineering, and project management. Prior to Kyra Medical, Ryan worked at Hillrom for nearly three years, where they were a sustaining engineer and project manager. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining project priorities and scheduling for all engineers within Sustaining Engineering, as well as creating a new prioritization system for project prioritization tied to dollars and strategic need for the business. Ryan also served as work-stream lead for Label remediation for EU MDR and FDA labeling regulations.

At Kyra Medical, Ryan is responsible for actively developing solutions for problems that would prevent operations from everyday production as they arise, updating existing products via post market analysis and surveillance to reduce cost, design out risks, and innovate products that have been in the market. Ryan also reviews risk documentation of all products periodically to ensure they meet the standards and regulations that pertain to their design specifications and registration. When necessary, they update documentation, labeling, and specifications to ensure the compliance of all products in their respective markets. Additionally, they have supported the transitioning of Document Control and PLM system software to a new ERP system; refined and restructured the product structuring within these systems to make this transition as seamless as possible.

Ryan has a proven track record of developing and executing V&V procedures that exceed customer and regulatory requirements. Ryan is an asset to any team they are on and always looks for ways to improve processes and procedures.

Ryan Cunniff is currently pursuing a field in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at the University of Connecticut. Ryan has not yet chosen a specific school within the university, but is planning on completing their degree within the next few years.
