Maija Costello, MBA has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2009 as Human Resources & Marketing Manager at Ashley Furniture Homestores. In 2010, they took on the role of People Operations Manager at Bloom Health, a VC-backed private healthcare exchange. From 2011 to 2016, they provided ad hoc business consulting services to Crossfit Mendota, focusing on human capital, change management, marketing and communications. In 2016, they joined Accenture as a Management Consultant and later as a Management Consultant Manager, working with Fortune Global 500 and >$60B revenue clients. In 2020, they joined ABOUT as Chief People Officer, where they expanded the nationwide workforce by 50%, maximized returns to the organization through change management and integration efforts, delivered a reimagined org design & operating model, decreased external vendor spend, and introduced foundational programs across the employee lifecycle. In 2023, they took on the role of Chief People Officer at Kyros.

Maija Costello has an impressive educational background. Maija holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources & Marketing Management from the University of St. Thomas, and has attended the Richmond, The American International University in London for Marketing, Management & Fine Arts. Additionally, they have studied Philosophy at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In 2014, they also obtained a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Certificate (CF-L1) from CrossFit, Inc.
